My name is Karthikeyan Ramachandran, and I belong to the class of April 2002 of B.Tech, Textile Chemistry. Currently I work as Director of Footwear Sourcing Operations, adidas (the second largest sports company in the world) based in HK. I can say that I am a proud alumnus of SSM College of Engineering as it played a vital role in shaping my personality and career. Concretely speaking, the school helped me in following areas,
Foundation: It laid a solid foundation in engineering subject matter as well as the mindset, helped me in develop confidence and structured thinking approach,
Freedom: It offered me creative freedom to experiment the concepts I learned through Degree projects and Lab experiments and finally,
Flexibility: Apart from the classroom curriculum it offered me to take part in various extra curricula e.g. inter collegiate / inter university technical symposium, sports and cultural events to name a few. All these were possible because of the right leadership and quality faculty, supported by conducive environment for the students to thrive.
