Special Programme for Slow and Advance Learners

Advance learners are identified through their performance in examinations, interaction in classroom and laboratory, their fundamental knowledge, concept understanding, and articulation abilities, etc.,

Students are encouraged to be the members of professional bodies like IEEE, IETE, ISTE, CSI, etc. They are motivated to refer Books in Library for competitive exams, GATE, and better studies and additionally to participate in project competitions and many technical events. The students are encouraged to take seminars on their interested areas to improve their communication skills and confidence.

Advanced learners engage slow learners in creating a peer-learning atmosphere, which makes the slow learner to understand the topic in a convenient environment. The students are allowed to organize events in professional societies and student chapters to create the interest in their profession and aware of the recent technology development.

The college takes a lot of effort to recognize the total development of the students. Additionally to students literary, cultural and sports activities are conducted that promote leadership quality, higher cognitive process ability, unity, precision, questioning ability, socio-psychological knowledge, etc. which makes there is original individual quality.As the students are significantly necessary for each educational institution, all the programs are designed and enforced to meet their necessities. Every year the College organizes an orientation program for the parents and the students at the commencement of a new batch. The program would help students and parents to get familiarized with the institution, curricular and co-curricular activities, facilities, rules, and regulations, etc. Before the commencement of classes, the differential requirements of students are identified and addressed at the earliest by way of a strategic approach.

The institution conducts the bridge courses for all the students in communicative English, mathematical foundation and computer programming before the commence of regular class work. An orientation program is organized for students before the commencement of regular class work to make clear about the college facilities, college experience, university rules and regulations, corrective actions of the institution and teaching-learning methodologies of the faculties.

After students entering into the mainstream course, their performance is analyzed periodically. Students, based on their classroom performance, internal marks and previous examination results are categorized into different groups such as slow learners and advanced learners.

For Slow Learners

The subject experts ahead of regular class timetable conduct corrective classes, which is not a part of class hours. Regularly the student's attendance and their test performance were frequently communicated to the respective parents through letters and telephone.

In all the departments 15 students are allocated to each faculty mentor for solving their grievances and for the benefit of the students. This monitoring system is used to improve the relationship between the faculty and students. Through this counseling system, the student's improvements were continuously focused on both academic and personal disciplines.

Extra Coaching classes are organized to clarify doubts, re-explaining the critical topics and practicing the problem based questions for improving performance. They are provided with the Question Bank, Tutorial questions, Course material, and Model question papers.


Students Learning Activities

The institution provides different centric learning methods by creating a good atmosphere through which the students think especially, answers and causes queries. Faculties, by playing an important role of promoter, create group discussions in classrooms among students and let the problem solve evolve from the student's perspective.

Through different experiential learning and participative learning activities, the students can able to broaden their scope of education by imparting valuable thinking. During the tutorial hrs, the students are stimulated their way of thinking by building problems/case studies by providing individual attention to them.

The faculties are encouraged to undergo different workshop activities, Short-term Training programs, Faculty Development Programs, NPTEL and online courses for effective design and exercise the student-centric activities. For better classroom teaching, the teachers are advised to follow an academic plan, which contains the details regarding the lesson plan, details of topics to be covered, previous year's internal and university question papers are referred.

Special lectures, different design activities, meadow study, case studies, project-based activities, experimental and group-learning methods are included in problem-solving methodologies. To improve the interactive, collaborative and independent learning process the college organizes guest lecturers and arranges industrial visit to the student.

To bring out the course interest during their library hours the students are allowed to utilize digital library with video lectures, e-books, and e-journals. The performance of the students is measured through internal and class tests, during practical hours and seminar hours.



Experimental Learning

We make our students be interactive by encouraging each individual to work things out for themselves; they are guided to and through their learning rather than being taught during practical classes. Students are able to grasp the concepts through demonstration, video lectures. To understand the industrial expectations, we encourage students to undergo In-plant training, Internship training and Industrial visits in the respective domains. The institution has also established e-learning facilities and resources like NPTEL, Learning Management System, e-books and e-journals, Digital libraries to improve their creative thinking in technical fields. Throughout the experiential learning process, the learner is actively engaged in posing questions, investigating, experimenting, being curious, solving problems and being creative.


Participative Learning

A pedagogical approach involving students of different cognitive levels was made to work in a collaborative manner in mini projects and major projects to accomplish an assigned task. The students' learning methodology is further tuned by peer-to-peer learning where students involved in sharing their views and come out with apt solutions for the defined problems. Role-play and Brainstorming are practiced for feasible content to learn the concepts in an easy way. The students are promoted for handling Technical topics, which allow students to think broadly and come up with their opinions & suggestions in finding better solutions. The discussions are basically in soft skills, managerial communications, business adoptions and many more.
