Profile

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1998 with 60 seats. The Department provides an outstanding teaching environment complemented with well qualified and dedicated faculty members with experience in educational institutions and software industries with specification in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Multimedia and Mobile Computing, Java, Compiler Design and Theory of Computation.

Lab Facilities

The Department is well equipped with the state of the art computing and internet facility with 6 Mbps through RF link and is eminent with fully networked laboratories. The laboratories are manifested with more systems and Servers with Dual Core Processors with multimedia kit connected via LAN system with the latest technological configuration. There are also other facilities in the labs which include audio-visual, printers and scanners that are used by the students for lecture sessions and presentations. The computer systems are installed with all the academic software for conducting the laboratory courses prescribed in the syllabus. Internet facility is also provided to enrich the students with the upcoming technologies.

Our staff Mrs M. Indumathi (Asst Prof., Dept. of IT) has successfully completed her NCC Pre Commission (Sr Air Wing) Course : Part - I held at Gwalior.

FARISHTEY - Accident First Responder program on Awareness on Road Safety Along with EMRI Green Health Services and Yuva Erode on 14th Aug organised by EDC @ SSMCE.
